Major Autohemotherapy (MAH)
Alive and Well offers several applications to reap the benefits of ozone therapy, including an Ozone Sauna and Insufflation Therapies.
Ozone Therapy is a time tested service that helps stimulate the body’s natural healing process and boost its ability to ward off pathogens.
Our ozone sauna surrounds the body with steam, so ozone is effectively introduced through the skin. This sauna creates the ideal environment for oxygenation and detoxification at the cellular level.
Ozone IV, otherwise known as Major Autohemotherapy (MAH), involves the extraction of approximately ½ pint of blood. Once safely extracted, the blood is mixed with a combination of saline and medical-grade ozone gas before it is returned to the patient through an IV drip over several minutes.
Ozone introduced via lung insufflation provides benefits to the passageway as well as the entire body. Breathe in the nebulized oil molecule through a nasal cannula to reduce allergy symptoms, sinus pain and general inflammation.
Ozone administered via nasal insufflation provides benefits to the nasal passageway and the entire body. Breathing in the nebulized oil molecule through the nasal canal reduces allergy symptoms, sinus pain, and general inflammation.
Ozone introduced via ear insufflation provides benefits to the passageway as well as the entire body. Using a modified stethoscope, ozone is directed into the ear canal to reduce ear infections, sinus infections, mold toxicity, lyme, and more.
Vaginal insufflation is the introduction of pure, medical-grade ozone directly into the vaginal canal. During your treatment, ozone is administered into the vagina using a rectal catheter. This form of ozone therapy is unique in the fact that ozone is quickly and easily absorbed through the walls of the vagina.
Rectal insufflation is the introduction of pure, medical-grade ozone directly into the colon. During your treatment, ozone is administered into the colon using a rectal catheter. This form of ozone therapy is unique in the fact that ozone is quickly and easily absorbed through the walls of the colon.
Ozone therapy enhances the body’s utilization of oxygen to enable slower cellular aging, strengthen the immune system and better fight infections, and elevate the natural detoxification process.
Ozone is composed of three oxygen atoms—rather than two—making it an activated “supercharged” oxygen gas that helps saturate the cells, tissues, and organs with oxygen. Oxygen is a critical nutrient for cells to produce energy and perform essential biological functions.
Ozone therapy has shown to be a safe and effective complement to your wellness protocol, as it has been utilized and heavily studied for over a century. It’s supportive for you if you’re looking to boost the immune system, detoxify, reduce bacterial and fungal load, clear the skin, or reduce the effects of aging.
The Ozone IV is also referred to as Major Autohemotherapy (MAH) IV therapy.
The MAH Ozone IV is a process whereby we remove 250 ml of blood and add ozone to the blood in the bag. It is then mixed into the blood for a minute and returned to the body. This is all done via one arm / one catheter – not 2 catheters like EB02.
The process will take approximately 1 hour.
This is a nice first point of entry in IV ozone for those that can’t afford the more intricate process of EB02.
Below is the Alive and Well dosing standards for Ozone IV (MAH):
Standard Dose
Concentration of ozone is 30 gamma – Equivalent to a 1 pass of ozone – 250 ml of ozone drawn up in the syringe
Intermediate Dose
Concentration of 70 gamma – Equivalent to 3 or 5 pass of ozone – 250 ml of ozone drawn up in the syringe
High Dose
Concentration of 70 gamma BUT a HIGHER volume of 1000ml of ozone drawn up in the syringe.
Ozone (MAH) IV Benefits:
Acupuncture is a type of traditional Chinese medicine that’s been around for about 2,500 years. It’s used to support wellness and improve overall mental and physical well-being. The acupuncturist places needles into specific points on the skin to help activate an energy in the body, called qi. According to traditional Chinese medicine, qi is the lifeforce energy in the body — it helps regulate and move things in the body to keep us well. Stress, environmental factors, lifestyle behaviors, and genetics are some of the things that can block qi in the body. The needles help to unblock or move qi to other areas in the body to help support wellness.
Acupuncture needles are solid, stainless steel needles that are usually not much larger than a strand of hair. Acupuncture needles are placed at a very shallow depth and go between tissues, making them less painful than a typical injection.
You might be more sensitive in certain areas, but acupuncture shouldn’t hurt. If you feel pain, tell your acupuncturist. They’ll adjust the needles or choose other points. Their goal is not to make you feel pain. They do a lot of work to position you properly and make sure you feel comfortable.
Indeed you can do acupuncture or massage while pregnant. It is safe and our practitioners are very well versed in how to treat pregnant women. Please let us know when you book a treatment if you are pregnant and how far along you are.
